The Rutland park location offers you the opportunity to explore England's smallest county, renowned for its picturesque villages and towns. Rutland Water is nearby with its sailing, cycling, fishing, nature reserve and many other activities.
The park is adjacent to the village of Greetham, through which the Viking Way runs along with other footpath networks. There is a gravel path from the park to the village (about five minutes level walk). which is served by a regular bus to Oakham (a lovely town with a good range of generally smaller shops), and also a service to Melton Mowbray (a larger town with more shops). From both towns there are bus services to take you further afield.
