Site Description
Beaconsfield is situated on the Shropshire Way, which leads through this park into the surrounding countryside. The walk will lead you to the neighbouring villages, where you may call in to the local public house for some refreshment. Depending on your route, you can see the beautiful surrounding Haughmond Hill or Grinshill, especially ideal for dog owners, where you are permitted to let you dog off the lead. They have a tourist information office on site with all the relevant Ordnance Survey maps and leaflets on named local walks.
There are many great walks in the local area, including Hawkstone Park and Follies, which offers exceptional views and interesting scenery. The grounds of Hawkstone Park are where the original The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis were filmed.
The Bothy Restaurant on site offers a range of À La Carte meals to suits all tastes, with fresh local produce used daily to create exquisite meals. Why not try the Bothy whilst staying at Beaconsfield, you wont be disappointed!
