Seldom Seen is a quiet, friendly, family - run park which has been established for over 35 years. The park has been developed and maintained for the discerning caravan owner. Set in 'The Heart of Hadrian's Wall Country', the caravan park is in an ideal location from which to explore the natural beauty and the rich history of the English/Scottish border region.
Although the backdrop is rural, you are not isolated. Seldom Seen is near the main east - west A69, between Newcastle Upon Tyne and Carlisle. Nearby, and within walking distance, is the small but lively market town of Haltwhistle; 'The Centre of Britain'. Only two miles from the park is Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site, steeped in 2000 years of history. We are on the fringe of the Northumberland National Park and within easy reach of the High Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the historical Scottish borders. An hour or so drive and you are in the Lake District. If you wish to do some 'heavy duty shopping', the Gateshead Metro Centre is 45 minutes away to the east by road , as is Newcastle Upon Tyne. The City of Carlisle is 30 minutes away by road to the west. Haltwhistle railway station, which provides a good service between Carlisle and Newcastle Upon Tyne, is only a mile from the park.
