This family run caravan park in an idyllic rural setting is located amidst the plains of West Lancashire, on the site of the 12th century Burscough Priory, just a short distance from Ormskirk. They offer visitors the opportunity to relax in the peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside and enjoy the scenery and attractions of this wonderful area. The rural experience is enhanced by the award winning facilities, attention to detail and natural beauty of the park, which will make your stay a pleasure. Whether you are camping, caravaning or looking to purchase a static caravan, Abbey Farm Caravan Park has all you could want.
The pleasure of the great outdoors at the farm also benefits from a fishing lake, planted woodland, fields, a playground, miniature climbing frame, dog exercise area, facilities for netball, volleyball and football too. Indoors, They provide table tennis, table football, pool table, plus a separate toddlers’ corner. Their library has some 400 books and you can borrow one, read it and return at the end of your visit or when you return to enjoy our park again. They trust their visitors and are not usually disappointed. Whilst in the library, see all the Tourist Information regarding what there is to see and do in the area. There are also special offers available for some of the attractions, please ask at the office during your stay or call before you visit. At Abbey Farm Caravan Park, they make sure there is something to keep the whole family happy.
The amenities here are the best you can get. The hot showers are free, there is a separate bathroom fully suited for the disabled and individual shower rooms. Abbey Farm offers an undercover dishwashing and vegetable preparation area, a laundry room with commercial sized washer, dryer, hand wash, spin dryer, and iron. There are two chemical disposal points. Their shop, stocks an incredible range of food, drink, sweets, ices and toys. Newspapers too are available, to order only and orders are taken at the time of your arrival.

A 1.5 mile perimeter walk through open pasture, by the fishing lake and through planted woodland enhances the sense of peace and quiet in the countryside that is at Abbey Farm. Their recreation facilities are, for those who want to partake, a 1.5 acre field which contains an activity play ground, netball, volleyball, football, an open field area and even a toddlers’ play area with a miniature climbing feature.
Their Indoor Recreation facilities provide table tennis, table football, pool table, plus a toddlers’ corner, safely separated from the bigger kids.
The library here Abbey Farm has some 400 books, borrow one, read it and return at the end of your visit or when you return to enjoy their park again. Whilst in the library, you can plan days out with access to all the Tourist Information regarding what there is to see and do in this area. At Abbey Farm, they offer Static Caravan Holiday Homes and permanent pitches for siting them, with a maximum sixe of 36ft x 12ft. Siting fees are just 20% of the retail price of the static that is purchased and this price includes the siting as well as transport, a storage box and a 47kg gas bottle. All the electric is metered.
