Scout Cragg is ideally situated for walking, climbing, fishing, horse riding, swimming, golf, bird watching and much more. Nearby Warton Crag is home to a number of rare bird species and a nesting site for Peregrine Falcons. Nearby Morecambe Bay is a world-renowned breeding area for many seabird species.
The park is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) in the north-west corner of Lancashire, with the Cumbria Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, historic towns and coastal resorts, all within easy reach. You will never be ‘stuck’ for somewhere to go even on those rainy days.
Set midway between Silverdale and Carnforth (about 2 miles to either) and close to Warton Village (less than a mile), they are ideally located since the historic city of Lancaster is 11 miles away and Kendal, a lovely market town, is 20 miles to the north. Arnside, a quaint seaside town, is about 6 miles.
