Site Description

Silverdale Holiday Park is the AA National Campsite of the year 2011
Silverdale is Holgates’ flagship park. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in over 100 acres of woodland and countryside, it overlooks the sweeping vista of Morecambe Bay. They have room for every kind of holiday maker. Holiday home owners, touring caravans, tents and caravans for hire.

There is always plenty to do – walk along the coast, find a spot for a picnic, enjoy a swim in the pool or relax in the sauna. Children are safe to roam or let off steam in the games room and soft play area or the two outdoor adventure playgrounds. A small shop supplies most things you might have forgotten but there’s no need to cook - the restaurant and bar serve meals and snacks all day.

With the pretty coastal village of Silverdale a 20 minute walk away, and Arnside nearby, you will never run out of things to do but if you prefer a day out, the Lakes, the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland are all less than an hours' drive away.

Unfortunately due to the undulating nature of the land they have only limited availability for tents and they are unable to accept bookings for large tents.  They do however have a sister site, Hollins Farm, just down the road.

Pitches are available from 1pm on the day of arrival and are to be vacated by 12noon on the day of departure.  Outside high season other periods may be available.

NB. Hard ground pegs are required.

There's enough on offer to tempt anyone to take the plunge. At the heart of the complex is a sensational 17m heated swimming pool, complete with bubble pool, turbo seat, spa pool and toddlers pool, and relaxing sauna and steam rooms. Lifeguards are always on duty to ensure everyone's safety.

For the more energetic, there are aquaclasses and a gym fully fitted with Technogym cardio and resistance equipment to suit every type of work-out. Fully-trained staff are on hand to help create personalised exercise programmes for all members.

Their restaurant and bar is open from 9 until 9 each day, whether you are just refuelling with a coffee and a cake or stopping for a well deserved meal. There is a children's play area so that you can relax and eat at your leisure whilst any little ones are entertained nearby.
