The beach and woodlands are popular for walks and family picnics. Many touring caravans and motorhomes, return on a regular basis for peace, tranquility and the wildlife in the surrounding area. Also the friendliness of the residents, in the static holiday homes, situated on the large caravan park.
The town centre is just a short walk, car, bike ride away from the caravan park, with many nice shops and amenities to compliment the area. There is a good, local train and bus service, to Southport and Liverpool. The area hosts many attractions, over the season, with many places to visit.
The pine woods, between the beach and the town, is the place to see the very rare red squirrels, in the unspoilt coastline around Formby Point.
