Site Description

Crofthead is one of Ayrshire's premier, four star parks offering a relaxing and peaceful ambience, surrounded by beautiful rural Ayrshire though only a mere two miles from Ayr town centre.

The McCormack family ensure that 'family values' and a 'traditional caravanning' atmosphere are retained despite the remarkable upgrading the park has seen since they bought it in 2001.

All hire vans are 'top of the range' and "Thistle Awarded". Each holiday home is superbly equipped and along with one log cabin, they are all centrally heated and double glazed.

All touring pitches are fully serviced and all are hard standing. 2006 saw a major refurbishment of the toilet blocks. There is a well serviced laundry and shop which is open seven days.

Dogs and cats must be house trained - no puppies or kittens. Sleeping baskets/bedding must be brought. Pets are not allowed on seating or beds and must never be left unattended in the caravan or on the site.

Open all year The Park holds a 12 month opening license and bookings are invited for the Christmas and New Year periods. If you fancy a leisurely game of golf, you'll find some excellent courses nearby, or perhaps prefer to spend a lazy afternoon fishing in the superb rivers that surround you. If you want the water but not the fishing don't forget to visit Ayr's marvelous beach. This park truly is 'A Gem in Ayrshire'.
