Site Description

Gosfield Lake Resort is a private family run leisure park, set in the heart of rural Essex, close to Constable Country and right on the Essex Way. The 36 acre lake and surrounding countryside combine to create a natural beauty spot, where clear summer evenings give way to spectacular sunsets.

The activities on site are wide-ranging from the gentle relaxation of Fishing, to the excitement of Water Skiing together with a variety of other leisure activities all catered for at one location. A pleasant safe environment for family fun and relaxation. Beautiful lakeside picnic spots and a children’s play area, together with the opportunity for Water ski lessons for the more adventurous! Gosfield Lake Resort provides a wonderful opportunity for the traditional back to basics family day out. Bring a ball or frisby, play with the children, enjoy a family picnic and take in the wonderful surroundings.

Whilst watching the excitement of people water skiing. All for just £5 car inc occupant, £1 pedestrians.

The Resort Park is open from April to October from 9.30 am to dusk.

Gosfield Lake has ideal camping facilities for the avid camper. On site they have a purpose built toilet and shower block, due to be refurbished during 2010. A laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer and washing up facilities with hot water. Chemical toilet deposits and electric hook-ups (on the caravan field only)

Their lakeside tent field is picturesque but basic. They like to call it primitive camping. There is no electricity available and a 5 minute walk to the amenities. More suited to the experienced camper. But if your idea of a camping break is watching the sunset over the lake, the wild life returning to their habitat (once the water-skiing has finished) and enjoying a glass of your favourite tipple in peaceful surroundings, then this is for you.

The caravan field is beside the local church, which offers a spectacular back-drop; all pitches have electrical hook-ups. Some super pitches with mains plumbing and water are available on request. Although this area does not offer lake views the view across the field to Gosfield hall are equally impressive. This area is close to the amenities.
