Site Description
The Elms is a 50-pitch, very friendly family run camp park situated right on the edge of London and set in the peaceful conservation area of Epping forest. They have pitches for caravans, motor homes and tents. They also offer Log Cabins, Caravans, Tents For Hire and superb Cottages. Next door is The Owl public house which serves food and drink and caters for children.
They are just 3 miles (5kms) from the London underground (Loughton on the Central line) with ample parking in a large safe car-park. Inexpensive travelcard tickets available at the station ticket Office. (£8.00p approx. per day for unlimited travel). The journey time from Loughton to the centre of the city is just 30 minutes.
The campsite shop is open for most every day products including snack foods, hotdogs, soups, crisps frozen products, bread, milk and eggs, burgers, vegi-food, and ice-cream. BBQ packs, charcoal and calor-gas is also available. Their store is run as a service to their patrons, therefore you will find almost all their prices compatible with local supermarkets.
Facilities include electric hookups. Their individual shower and toilet cubicles are kept spotlessly clean, heated throughout the season and are second to none.
