Site Description
This site is a simple and rural camp site which appeals to those who like camping in the old fashioned sense. That is to say, they do not offer electric hook ups or hot water. This might be considered by some to be a no no and by others to be a yes yes. What they offer is a pleasant grassy site, clean toilets, and you can choose your own pitch. They welcome tents, touring caravans and motor-caravans.
There is a choice of two places to go. The first is in an orchard. This is not always available since it is a Caravan and Camping Club rally site and they have rallies most summer weekends. Judging by the repeat bookings, they are a popular venue.
The other place is a field, bordered on one side by a plantation of poplar trees, and a stream. They very much enjoy welcoming family parties and seeing the children wading in the streams, running about and generally having a good time. They do not object to ball games, so long as it does not interfere with other campers. Barbecues, as long as off the ground are allowed, but not campfires as they scar the grass making it unpleasant for those following.
They welcome well behaved and controlled dogs on the site and they are surrounded by public foot paths across the fields to walk them.
