Site Description

Cardinney Caravan and Camping Park is a quiet family-run site. They are situated in scenic unspoilt countryside, 5 miles west of Penzance and 5 miles east of Lands End, set back off the main A30 trunk road, and accessed via a private drive. As keen caravanners of many years themselves, their aim is to make your stay at Cardinnney as enjoyable as possible. They have been awarded a 4 star grading from the English Tourist Board and have been selected for inclusion in the Alan Roger's guide.

They are very easy to reach by staying on the A30 trunk road and following the brown Tourist signs for Lands End, passing Penzance, Drift and Catchall. Five miles after Penzance, they are the first caravan park on the right side of the road.

The 4.75- acre park has been thoughtfully landscaped with trees, shrubs and flowerbeds. 105 spacious pitches of 80sq.m. minimum are individually marked out, including 70 with 10-amp hook-up points, and some with individual water points. The unspoilt surrounding views give Cardinney an air of peace and tranquility. To the rear of the park is a National Trust viewpoint, which, on a clear day gives panoramic views to the Isles of Scilly, Cape Cornwall and Lizard Point. There is also the ancient Iron Age settlement of Carn Euny which is just a 20 minute walk from the Park.

Cardinney offers a fully-equipped launderette, colour T.V., a pool table, and chemical disposal point. They also have a cafe serving breakfasts, evening meals, and take-away meals, a small bar, free hot showers, dish-washing sink, a deep sink for washing babies, and calor gas is sold from the well-stocked site shop.

The site is well signed from the main road, with the access lane being well surfaced and quiet. New arrivals are greeted in reception, prior to being shown to their allocated pitch. They have limited parking at the main reception block, with no traffic calming measures. They are happy to assist guests with any problems they may have on arrival. Car parking is available on the allocated pitch. Useful telephone numbers and emergency contact numbers are displayed on the notice board outside the main reception.

A small laundry room is provided with two washing machines, a spin drier, a gas tumble drier and ironing facilities.

A small well-stocked shop is located within reception fresh milk and bread available. Calor gas and camping gaz is also stocked as well as sundry camping accessories.

The small café on site serves as a T.V. room, They offer breakfasts, evening meals and take-away food during the main summer months. Alcohol is permitted after 6p.m when the bar is also open

They have 70 serviced pitches which also have individual water points. Pitches are mainly grassed, and are minimum 80 sq.m. though most are 100 sq.m. The toilet/shower block is situated adjacent to the reception area, providing free showers/hot water. Dishwashing sinks are provided in the centre of the field.
