Phil and Kate run Franchis, their touring and self-catering holiday park on the Lizard Peninsula, close to Mullion. Whether you are thinking of staying there for the first time or are an old friend returning, they hope to help make your holiday with them a memorable and enjoyable one.
Franchis Holiday Park lies just outside Mullion between farm and woodland, in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Close to the rugged Cornish coast with numerous idyllic sandy coves, yet travel a few miles East and you'll find the lush green valleys of the Helford; perfect for messing about on boats or visiting the gardens the area boasts
If you enjoy walking then you'll be spoilt for choice with so many footpaths, including the South West coast path, on your doorstep. They also accept dogs here so the whole family can enjoy getting out and about! They are actually well placed for visiting all of West Cornwall and taking in its spectacular coastline.
Franchis is just a couple of minutes drive from Mullion, only 5 miles from Helston and about 14 miles from Falmouth and Penzance, all with a good selection of shops and leisure facilities
The Lizard is blessed with a mild climate; whatever the season or weather, there's always something to do or somewhere to explore.

They have 70 touring pitches here spread over 2 fields; the back field, nearest the woodland and stream being purely for tents. They have no obtrusive lighting to disturb your enjoyment of the spectacular night sky and the abundance of wildlife here. They also recommend that you bring a torch!
Unusually for these days they have no bars or discos to shatter the peace. They do have a seasonal shop selling various local produce, newspapers and fresh bread. We also have a small launderette, free ice pack freezer, a great selection of books for you to borrow for your holiday reading and plenty of tourist information for you to plan any days out.
Their static caravans and chalets are amongst the fringes of woodland that comprise a large part of Franchis' 16 acres. with plenty of outside space for you to enjoy the lovely mild Cornish climate and even the odd barbecue! They have four standard caravans, one privately-owned luxury caravan and five chalets available for hire.
Franchis has 4 acres of spacious fields for the use of tents, touring caravans and motor homes. They have 23 pitches for tents only around the perimeter of the back field, most of which back onto woodland, with 3 water points and plenty of space for you to enjoy your holiday. Pitches in the front fields are set amongst mature trees and most have electric hook up. 'Superior' pitches include the use of electric hook up and/or chemical toilet disposal point. Please note that They only accept the 'green' chemical as They try to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
They also allow barbeques (how could you not have a barbeque on holiday?!) but do ask that you keep them raised off the grass to avoid scorch marks. You will find various large stones and bricks around the site for this purpose.
Two toilet blocks are open throughout the season, providing 6 showers for the ladies and 5 for the men. Showers take 20p which lasts about 4 minutes. Both blocks have plenty of basins, washing up and clothes washing sinks with free hot water. They also have a launderette with two washing machines and two driers.
As campers themselves, they believe their pitches to be of a fair size but if you have a particularly large tent, caravan or motor home please do let them know when booking.
They have four static caravans available for your holiday with them, all measuring 35ft x 12ft. Caravans sleep six in three bedrooms; one double and two twins.
All open into an open-plan living room with colour television, gas fire, separate dining area and kitchen with fridge and gas cooker. Duvets and pillows are provided but please remember to bring your own bed linen, towels and tea towels. Use of gas and electricity is included in the price. They do allow dogs (2 maximum) in three of their standard caravans at a cost of £20 per dog per week. Should you wish to stay in a pet free caravan please ask when booking.
