Site Description

Bodnant Caravan Park was established in the early 1960's by the Kerry family, a local Welsh speaking farming family. They have won the 'WALES IN BLOOM' competition covering the whole of Wales, for touring caravans for 26 consecutive years with our many floral features and an array of old farm implements of a bygone era.

They can accommodate touring caravans, motor-caravans and tents. They also have 2 holiday caravans for hire. They have a separate field for caravan rallies.
Bodnant enjoys a picturesque location on the outskirts of the market town of Llanrwst in the beautiful Conwy Valley. Many customers return year after year to enjoy our gardens and relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Their site is renowned even as far as Europe.

The site is all level, easily accessed, sheltered by trees and bordered by Nant y Goron stream, which runs into the River Conwy. The pitches are either grass or hardstanding.
The site is situated within 10 minutes walking distance from the town, opposite the Leisure Centre on the B5427 Nebo Road from Llanrwst, and is clearly signposted at the junction with the A470 (see map on area page). All 35 caravan and motor-caravan pitches are multi-serviced pitches with 16 amp electric hookup, TV hook-ups, water taps and grey waste disposal. Some hard-standing pitches are available.

All 14 tent pitches which are in a separate field have electric and TV hook-ups. Most tent pitches with the electric hookups are approx 9mx9m. Please note they cannot accept tents larger than 5x6 metres including guide ropes.

The toilet blocks have free hot water and showers. The larger toilet block is heated. A covered dishwashing area, chemical disposal point and a recycling collection area, small playfield, dog walk and telephone box are also provided.

The main gates are locked between 11pm and 8am, and no noise or drinking is allowed after 11pm.

They also have a small farm stocking sheep, hens, ducks, geese and guinea fowl. Their site is well known for their animal cemetery, marked with little white crosses where children often leave posies of wildflower
Many varieties of birds can be found on the site; woodpeckers, goldcrests, mistle thrushes, redstarts, tree creepers, siskins, nuthatches, herons, buzzards, sparrow hawks and house martins are just a few apart from the more common garden species such as tits and blackbirds.

When dusk falls the bats come out. The local Llanrwst agricultural show is held every August just a few fields away and the local sheepdog trials are held locally in July. Their own sheepdogs can sometimes be seen herding their sheep, ducks (and customers who haven't paid!!)
They have two well equipped holiday caravans for hire (2006 33' x 12' Willerby Richmond). Although these are 6 berth caravans, for your comfort they only allow a maximum of 4 people to occupy each van.

Each of them feature:

Living / dining room with colour television and radio/cd player
Fully equipped kitchen with full gas stove, fridge, toaster and microwave
2 bedrooms-: 1 double and 1 twin plus pull-out double bed in the living room
Shower room with toilet

Electricity and gas is included in the price. There are fixed heaters in all the rooms. Please note that no smoking is allowed in the caravans.
On the lawn there is a table and 6 chairs and a rustic bench.
