Site Description

Gwaun Vale Caravan Park is family owned and situated at the start of the beautiful Cwm Gwaun, one and a half miles from Fishguard in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

The pitches have electric hook ups and are level with excellent views of the surrounding countryside.
There is a small play area, a laundry, 2 sinks to wash dishes as well as toilets and free hot showers.

There is a small shop on site with basic supplies, including gas cylinders. Dogs are welcome and they have a separate area to exercise them.

The park is small and friendly and is an excellent base to explore the area. They keep a supply of brochures and maps describing what is available in the surrounding area. It is very convenient for the Irish Ferry for those who are travelling further or would like to enjoy a day trip.

There is a small friendly pub only five minutes walk away where you can enjoy a bar meal in a countryside setting. Alternatively enjoy an evening at the caravan park with a barbecue, watching the sun set behind the hills.

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is an ideal setting for anyone who enjoys walking or just sitting and taking in the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding countryside. Watch the cormorants as they dive into the sea or listen to the gulls as they follow the many sailing boats. Porpoises and dolphins are regular visitors and nothing can compare with the sight of grey seals and their young pups. See more about The Area.

Enjoy a relaxing holiday on their farm site at Newport. It is situated overlooking Newport Beach and has excellent views of the bay as well as the golf course and surrounding area.

There are electric hook ups, toilets, showers, laundry and a dish-washing area. It is ideal for couples and families. They keep an area in front of the tents and caravans for children to play ball games so that parents can supervise while relaxing, just taking in the beautiful scenery.

They are less than a mile from Newport where there are a variety of cafes, pubs and restaurants. Newport is a small friendly village and still boasts a post office, hardware store, newsagent, butcher, health food store as well as a Spar shop where you can buy almost anything. The beach is clean, safe for swimming and ideal for body boarding or windsurfing. There is a boat club with a welcome for beginners as well as the more experienced sailors. For those who enjoy walking the coastal path is on their doorstep and Carn Ingli and the Preseli hills offer short or long walks for those who want a hilly landscape. Castell Henllys, an iron age fort is a few miles away and there are lots of castles to explore in the surrounding area. They keep a range of brochures and maps to help you enjoy the many attractions in the area.
