SITE INFORMATION

Abbot's House Farm is located in Goathland, situated in the heart of the idyllic North York Moors. The park is next to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Yorkshire Television's 'Aidensfield' in the 'Heartbeat' series and are also close to the coast - Whitby, Scarborough and Robin Hood's Bay are nearby. the accommodation is ideal for a base from which the NYMR events weekends can be easily accessed, as well as events in Whitby such as the vintage car and music weekends, Goth weekends, folk week and of course, Whitby Regatta.  Goathland is also close to the Lyke Wake Walk, the coast to coast and Cleveland way coastal paths. The historical city of York is less than an hour away, also accessible by rail.

The camping and caravanning site is located on two fields with extra space available at busy times. Note that the park are a 'green-field' site, with no hard standings, gravel tracks, tarmac or site lighting on the main site fields. You may park next to your unit; ensure your vehicle is suitable for use on grass. Enjoy those rare dark night skies and silence, only available in a few remaining locations across the UK

Facilities

Showers, toilets, CDP, wash-up sink, washbasins and disabled/family shower room are in the building attached to the bunkhouse barn (hot and cold water, 24 hours); the building is fully lit.  There are also toilets, wash-up sink and CDP on the main site (cold water only), torch needed! Drinking water taps (spring water) are located at several convenient points throughout the site.

Please note that the site fields and their access lanes are unlit, ensure you bring a good torch / lantern!
