SITE INFORMATION
Beaconsfield is situated on the Shropshire Way, which leads through this park into the surrounding countryside. The walk will lead you to the neighbouring villages, where you may call in to the local public house for some refreshment. Depending on your route, you can see the beautiful surrounding Haughmond Hill or Grinshill, especially ideal for dog owners, where you are permitted to let you dog off the lead. They have a tourist information office on site with all the relevant Ordnance Survey maps and leaflets on named local walks.
There are many great walks in the local area, including Hawkstone Park and Follies, which offers exceptional views and interesting scenery. The grounds of Hawkstone Park are where the original The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis were filmed.
The Bothy Restaurant on site offers a range of À La Carte meals to suits all tastes, with fresh local produce used daily to create exquisite meals. Why not try the Bothy whilst staying at Beaconsfield, you wont be disappointed!
Their fully central heated toilet and shower complex is kept to the highest level of cleanliness. For peace of mind, each tourer is issued with a toilet key, so that use of the showers etc. remains solely to guests staying on the Park. They even have music playing 24 hours a day to keep you company!
They provide coin operated washing machines and dryers.
In addition there is a large sink unit spin dry and ironing facilities.
They also provide an exercise area for you dogs. Within in this area you are permitted to let your dog off the lead, and they ask that all excrement is disposed of in the designated bins. On other areas of the park, dogs are only permitted on shortleads, and all excrement must be collected.
