SITE INFORMATION

The northernmost site in England combines the spectacular scenery of Northumberland with visits across the border to Scotland. Overlooking the river estuary and with wonderful views of Holy Island, the site is only a 20-minute walk into Berwick with its shops and places of interest.The site is good for children because of the clean golden sands at nearby Spittal, with safe bathing and play facilities. The nearby Ford and Etal estate with steam train, craft workshops and castle nurseries is a popular day out for families.The golf club at Goswick is highly rated as one of the best links courses in the north.

From S on A1 - at roundabout on o'skirts of Berwick turn Right onto A1167 (sp Scremerston, Tweedmouth, Spittal); in 1½m at roundabout turn R into Billendean Terrace (sp Spittal). Site on R in ½m (¼m past rly bdge).

From N on A1 (to avoid town centre) - on approaching Berwick at Safeway roundabout continue on A1 Berwick by-pass; in abt 4½m at roundabout turn L onto A1167 (sp Scremerston, Tweedmouth, Spittall); then as from S on A1 above.
