SITE INFORMATION

High Sprintgill is an isolated listed farmhouse with spectacular views across the fells. It was built in 1700 in a splendid position, high in the Howgills, overlooking Wild boar Fell.

It has many traditional features to create the perfect atmosphere to forget modern day living. From the large oak beamed sitting/dining room which features the original solid fuel range to the Elm fitted kitchen where the Aga reigns supreme, or the 'not very straight' floors upstairs, this is the idyllic family retreat. Leave a casserole in the oven to come home to after a bracing walk across the fells which are just outside the door, enjoy an evening spent toasting crumpets in front of the real fire or relax whilst the kids play in the garden where if the weather permits there is a small shallow beck for them to spend hours paddling in. The memories from a holiday at High Sprintgill will last a lifetime.

Bowber Head is a wonderful destination in it’s own right, with the ability to have full day's out on the old buses but they are also a great base for touring the north of England.  They have fast roads and a wealth of little ‘off the beaten track’ lanes to investigate.  Below is some information which you may find useful when planning your holiday here.
