SITE INFORMATION
Located on the boundary between Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire just outside of Henlow, The park caters for camping, caravanning, camping pods, fishing, walks and conservation. The site is open all year round and is just off the A507, which can be accessed from junction 10 of the A1(M) within 5 minutes..
The venue is part of an overall 58 acre landholding comprising a 25 acre Aggregates Depot, 21 acres of pastureland and 12 acres of riverside frontage and lakes owned by a local Henlow family who support the public having access to the countryside. In 2002 Henlow Bridge Lakes were created during the rebuilding of the railway bridge, when part of the material was used in the reconstruction. As part of the planning proposals to create the lakes and enhance the area, a previous access agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries (now DEFRA) was extended to allow public footpaths and a riverside walk in perpetuity.
The created footpaths provide a circular route to link with existing footpaths which run across the front of the owner's Aggregates Depot and from the Lodge House on Arlesey Road (A507) past Henlow Grange to the village. The network of footpaths form part of the Kingfisher way from Baldock to Tempsford.
In 2007 a Camping Site was established for 5 tourist caravans and 10 tents which has received many 'members recommended' awards....
