If you want to visit for the day or stay on their charming campsite, they can guarantee that you’ll find plenty of things to keep your family entertained. Feed the animals, hop on the tractor, race around their kart track or learn about olden day farming practises. At Sacrewell they have it all.

Make friends with Bluebell the rabbit, meet Beatrice the shire horse and George the soay lamb, if that’s not enough, why not explore the straw bale maze, the bygone watermill and the indoor activity barn.

The Stables Restaurant provide home-cooked hearty meals that will satisfy everyone after a busy day in the fresh outdoors and with a wide selection of local treats and gifts you can pick up a souvenir in the Three Little Ducks Shop.

So rain or shine, stick on your wellies and come and experience an action packed day at Sacrewell Farm.

Whether you’re visiting the centre or looking for somewhere different to eat, with beautiful views over the countryside and its superb freshly made food, the Stables Restaurant is an ideal place to stop and relax. Where possible the Restaurant uses local ingredients to produce its menu.

In 2007 the National Shire Horse Centre opened at Sacrewell Farm.  Run in partnership with the Shire Horse Society, it aims to increase awareness of this magnificent breed.

There are now 10 Shires based here at Sacrewell Farm where visitors are able to see the day to day activities carried out by this traditionally hard working breed.  In addition they often run special events displaying unique demonstrations.  At weekends the Shire Horse Centre often runs dray rides for the public.

The Shire Horses now parade in many public events including pulling the Lord Mayor's Gold Coach in London (pictured).
