SITE INFORMATION

The Old Post Office Campsite in Cumbria is a small family run campsite ideally situated on the western edge of the Lake District national park. It was first established in 1951 it has developed over the years into the perfect place to spend your holiday.

Located in the quiet village of Santon Bridge, the site is bordered on one side by the River Irt – noted for its salmon sea and brown trout, so If you’re looking for campsites with fishing? You’ve come to the right place! “Please note the park don't hire out fishing equipment, you will need to bring your own with you”.

Short walk across the bridge is the Bridge Inn, serving bar meals and real ale. Also within walking distance is a Woodlands Tea Room and Santon Bridge gift shop, telephone kiosk and post box.

The campsite has a limited number of undercover spaces for the storage of touring caravans.
